IMPORTANT NEWS FROM STUART

Unfortunately on the 20th August, I was involved in a quite serious accident whilst riding my motorbike. I was involved in a collision with a car that was doing a 3 point turn just over a blind brow on an A road.

This left me with 2 broken arms/wrists and damage to my left eye.

I have now had my arms and wrists plated and screwed back in place, with ongoing treatment for my eye.

I am afraid this means that for the short term at least, that Earby Door Services is closed. We are looking at taking on a new member of staff to help with the fitting of orders that were already in the system for doors that were being made to order in Germany. So to anyone that had placed a door order, please be patient, and we will get to you as soon as I recover to a point where I could supervise on the installations.

Beyond that, we hope I will make a full recovery, and will be able to get back to where we were, but at this stage we don’t really know how long that will take.

If its a sectional door you need, then we supply doors from Teckentrup. The door components are produced in Germany, with the door kit itself put together in their UK factory at Warrington. We supply Marantec operators with our Teckentrup sectional doors, this in our opinion is the best package available.

For roller doors we use DRS-UK in Runcorn. They can produce garage doors, window and door security shutters.

For larger industrial projects we use OSA. Again based in Runcorn, they make insulated sectional doors to suite almost any opening, although we dont normally tackle anything larger than 6m x 5m.

If its a side hinged security door, then we use Robust Doors in Stoke, who offer the full range of steel side hinged doors.

Our industrial and commercial roller shutter doors are produced by Acorn Door Systems in Darwen.

One common theme runs through all the doors we supply and fit, the fact that they are all made to order, and come in a wide choice of colour, style and large number of options to make the correct door for you. We dont try and fit the nearest off the peg sized door.

We don’t spread ourselves too thin, not trying to be experts in far too many door brands. In our opinion that normally leads to mistakes in the surveying/measuring/fitting side of the buisiness.

What we do is stick with the brands we know and trust, building on the brand knowledge and people we have dealt with for decades.

I’m affraid the only type of garage doors we don’t do are one piece up and over doors, also known as canopy or retractable.
